Description
What is EuroChem Penetrant used for?
EuroChem Penetrant Adjuvant is added to spray-mixed herbicides to increase their effectiveness against plants that are otherwise hard to kill, such as those with waxy, hairy, or hard-to-wet leaves. It’s also ideal for use in challenging environments like hot, dry, or wet conditions.
This premium penetrant is not only registered for use with herbicides, it can also be safely used in combination with a range of approved fungicides, miticides, insecticides, and foliar micronutrients to bolster their efficacy. For more information on which products EuroChem Penetrant can be mixed with, refer to the Directions for Use.
How does EuroChem Penetrant work?
The product relies on the active ingredient polyether modified polysiloxane to minimise surface tension when herbicides or other chemicals are sprayed on plant leaves. This permits a more thorough wetting and better product uptake, and consequently, increases the efficacy of your chosen base product (e.g., metsulfuron, glyphosate, Grazon Extra Herbicide).

Does EuroChem Penetrant improve rainfastness?
Yes, it is capable of improving a herbicide’s rainfastness (i.e., reducing the period of time the spray can still be washed off the leaves by rain). When sprayed on dry foliage following all application instructions, this penetrant-wetting agent can reduce the rainfast period to just 30 to 60 minutes.
Which herbicides can EuroChem Penetrant be mixed with?
EuroChem Penetrant is predominantly designed for use with glyphosate herbicides, metsulfuron-methyl herbicides, and combination products like Grazon Extra. It’s effective against weeds like bracken, broom, perennial ryegrass, sweetbriar, blackberry, eucalyptus, and gorse.
It can also be mixed with other chemicals, including fungicides, miticides, insecticides, and foliar micronutrients. For more details, including recommended mixing rates, refer to the Directions for Use.
Is EuroChem Penetrant more effective than regular wetting agents?
EuroChem Penetrant is not a standard wetting agent, but rather, a purpose-built product for scenarios where a highly penetrating surfactant is required. As a result, this product delivers much more effective results than a general-purpose wetter when used correctly, improving the uptake of herbicides and other chemicals in plants that are traditionally hard to penetrate or kill.
Is EuroChem Penetrant a Pulse Penetrant equivalent?
Yes, EuroChem Penetrant Adjuvant provides an ideal alternative to Pulse Penetrant. They deliver the same benefits to users by increasing the penetrative abilities of herbicides such as metsulfuron and glyphosate when applied to hard-to-wet leaves or tough weed species.

Penetrant certainly appears to enhance the ‘stickability’ of the spray onto lantana; thats all I ask of it!
